Cut Down

Enemy health needed to proc Cut Down Level 1: 663

Sett's Base Health Lvl 1: 670

Cut Down is Always recommended in this matchup. You will always proc it on him from level 1 onwards.

Overview

Matchup Tip: Save E to use after Sett pulls you in with his E. The Bread and Butter Combo is when Sett Es you and pulls you, instantly use your E, then AA him and run back as fast as you can. If you do this combo correctly, you will out run Sett's W range every single time, which is why this matchup is very hard for Sett.

Level 1: Be careful of Sett's level 1 because some Sett players start E, and so if you E too early then he will E after and hard win the fight. To see what he starts, if you auto him and you see the white bar grit under his health, then he started W. If you don't see this, then he didn't level an ability or he started E, so proceed with caution.

Level 2: You can use E aggressively only if you use it when Sett doesn't expect it. The reason I like being aggro with E is because Quinn's E is so fast, and if I do it when he doesn't expect it, Sett will E after and will miss every trime because his E range is 400 units. Otherwise, save E to use only after Sett pulls you in, like Darius and Morde. Use E specifically to disengage from Sett's E.

Level 3: If you see Sett use his Q on you, press Q on him and auto the harrier to gain MS. You will be faster than him and will be able to out run him.

Level 6+: If Sett Rs you, E as quick as you can. If you do it fast enough, Sett can't E you in time because your E animation is too fast when he lands to secure his E on you.

What To Do

Quinn's kit HARD COUNTERS sett.

In lane, be careful of Sett's Gray bar on the bottom. Essentially, when he receives damage it stacks up, and the longer the bar, the more damage his W does to you.

He gets a shield and if you are in the middle, you take true damage instead.

So, first, Sett's Q grants him 30% MS which is nothing, so it's actually hard for Sett to get onto you.

Sett's E range is 490 and it WILL cancel your vault, but it's difficult for Sett to get into range to use this on you.

Ideally use vault to counter him using his E.

Next, his W range is 790 which is longer than your vault range, so if you vault away from him, Sett WILL be able to retaliate with W and hit you with it every single time.

Sett's R range is only 400, so it's actually very difficult for him to land these on you.

Maintain distance against him, and if his W is down, you are free to go in for a big combo because his kit legit revolves around this ability.

If sett Rs you, wait for him to use E first because if you vault him, he will likely E cancel you after, BUT Sett should never be able to get into R range of you without using his E on you first.

Don't EVER be that close to him, and you should be ok.

You hard outscale him in late game 1v1s because not only can you kite him hard, but your build will be an HP shred to make him cry. :)

Boots rush is broken in this matchup to prevent him from ever coming close to you.
